4.28.17

4.27.17

The goodwill store on mission and van ness seemed awfully empty last time i popped in, low and behold they're closing in June folks. Alas, as you may or may not already know, the most affordable "goodwill bins", which used to be located around the corner have already moved to burlingame and another thrift giant, thrit town in the mission, has since closed shop as well. The thrift continues until June my friends.
Herewith a mens blazer marked down 50% to the price it should've always been, $4.50.

Shop_Tempus Fugit

And another year older, yet perhaps this time around a little wiser!

They say that as you get older you're anxiety fades, because the brain cells responsible for anxiety die off (they're old so they die). So i guess celebrating the fact that your brain deteriorates like a sponge disintegrating and being expelled through your pee ain't so bad after all!

Ive decided to open a wee boutique via eBay with some of my hand selected vintage gems and sell some of these goodies. Please do feel free to have a gander.

I have also teamed up with fine artist Ransom Edgerton @helldforransom to create a jewelry line together called @shop_tempusfugit <3 My vintage gimlets and handmade jewels featured on instagram, take a peep. Everything is for sale, email at shop_tempusfugit@yahoo.com

So for my birthday I went to go see Erik Jacobsen, who's super down to earth (and very cute), tatted me up and in under 2 hours and a cupcake later I was in bed early.

Farfetch Competition

The exclusive designer online store Farfetch informed me of a competition to win a $300 voucher to their online store, so I was asked to put together an outfit with all menswear, the sole exception of only one piece from their womenswear section. This is obviously right down my alley as menswear is indeed my cats pajamas. And I could care less about the women sections these days, alas my shoe size fortunately does not reflect the male sex.

Farfetch works like this, they represent an online store, but the clothing is "fetched" for you across the globe, so you have more choices, more designers, and more unique pieces (and sizes!).

If ever I was allowed to raid someones closet, it would probably have to be some estate sale belonging to a late dandy, who indulged in accessories and classic button ups.

Inspired by the two legendary tom-boy toting fashion icons Katherine Hepburn and Diane Keaton, this is what I came up with.

Blazer, Vivienne Westwood
Shirt, Raf Simons
Trousers, Saint Laurent
Brogues, Churchs (womenswear section pick)
Pin and Bowtie, Lanvin
Necklaces, Rick Owens and Maison Margiela

They just don't make 'em like they used to

When my uncle in Texas emailed me that he started making hats and wanted to send me one of his many designs, I didn't hesitate to send him my "yes please" along with my address. After a few weeks, he sent me this vintage style matador hat carefully wrapped and cushioned upon arrival. After much contemplation, and review of the various styles, I decided upon the matador, a favorite of mine. Handmade in the U.S.A. (Texas to be exact), my uncle scouts the many vintage stores, estate sales and other resources in order to find a pristine vintage piece which is then replicated to fit, appear and made with the finest materials, as if you were to hop into a time machine and swoop it off some poor fools head back in the 1960s. Its craftsmanship is impeccable compared to what you'd find in stores today and will undoubtedly last you a lifetime. The saying is true, they just don't make them like they used to. Well with Chieffalo vintage hats, you no longer have to search incessantly all over eBay, etsy and flea markets, (like I do) for that perfect something to top off your outfit is not only custom-made in the U.S.A. to fit your style and head size, but also readily available wherever you are.
